Dr. Alpaslan TANOĞLU is currently working as a Professor at Bahçeşehir University Medical Park Göztepe Hospital. In addition to Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology specialization programs, he successfully completed the ‘Molecular Oncology’ doctorate program in 2022. He served as ‘Chief Physician’ in Turkey’s largest COVID-19 pandemic hospital between year 2021-2023. Dr. Tanoğlu’s research focus includes COVID-19, Hepatitis B and C infections, intestinal tuberculosis, vaccines, microRNAs and long non-coding RNAs, as well as gastrointestinal diseases. He has published 180 articles in peer-reviewed journals and more than 20 book chapters. He has 7 medical book editorships and 2 translation book editorships. He is a member of associations such as Turkish Viral Hepatitis Fight Association, Turkish Liver Research Association, Turkish Gastroenterology Association. He serves as ‘Editor’ in the Turkish Journal of Medical Sciences and BMC Gastroenterology, and as ‘Chief Editor’ in the Journal of Health Sciences and Journal of Medicine and Palliative Care.
