Yasemin Çağ, MD, is Chief, Department of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul Medeniyet University, where she is Professor of Medicine. She is a member of Executive Committee and also the General Secretary of The Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Specialty Society of Turkey (EKMUD). She is Fellow of Infectious Diseases – International Research Initiative (ID-IRI) and a member of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID). She also serves on the Influenza Scientific Advisory Board of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey. Her main areas of interest are sepsis, central nervous system infections, fungal infections, HIV and COVID-19.
