Dr Sohret Aydemir, graduated from Dokuz Eylül School of Medicine in 1990 and completed residency training in clinical microbiology at Ege University, School of Medicine in 1998. She has been working on The Bacteriology Laboratory of the Ege University Medical School Hospital as a microbiology specialist since 1998. She has became an associate professor in 2006 and professor in 2012, has been in charge of undergraduate and post graduate education.
Her major areas of interest is about antimicrobials and antimicrobial resistance and has many collaborative researches with national and international colleagues.
She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Scientific Commission of the National Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance of the Ministry of Health and also a member of the Standardization of Antibiotic Susceptibility Tests Scientific Committee, which is the National AST Committee of EUCAST
