Omrum Uzun

Dr Uzun graduated from the Ankara University School of Medicine, Ankara, Turkey, in 1984. She went on to become a Resident at the Hacettepe University School of Medicine in Ankara, then Clinical Fellow at the Hacettepe University School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Section of Infectious Diseases, Ankara, flowed by Postdoctoral Fellowship at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Department of Medical Specialties, Section of Infectious Diseases, Mycology Research Program in Houston, Texas, USA. She became Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Hacettepe University School of Medicine in 1993, Associate Professor of Medicine (Turkey) in 1995, and Professor of Medicine (Turkey) in 2002.

Dr Uzun’s major research interests are infections in cancer patients, invasive fungal infections and antimicrobial stewardship.
