Ata Nevzat Yalçın is a Professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology, Akdeniz University, School of Medicine, Antalya, Turkey. He graduated from Ankara University, School of Medicine in 1985. He completed residence program in 1992. He became an Assistant Professor in 1994 and Associate Professor in 1996. He was appointed as a full Professor in 2001 in Pamukkale University, School of Medicine. Since 2003 Dr. Yalcin is working in Akdeniz University, School of Medicine.
Dr. Yalcin has 180 paper published in different national and international journals. He has more than 100 oral and written presentations in national and international Congress and Symposiums. He edited seven books and 35 books chapters.
Dr. Yalcin is a member of Bone and Skin, Soft Tissue Infections Working Group of International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ISAC) since 2014.
Areas of interest;Dr. Yalcin especially works on health-care Associate infections in intensive care units. Besides he is interested in New antibiotic, antimicrobial resistance and pharmacoeconomics.
Dr. Yalcin worked as an Executive Committee member in Turkish Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology-KLIMIK, Turkish Society for Hospital-acquired infections and control-HIDER and Association for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases – BUHASDER.
